Sunday Brownies

An easy and fun recipe for thick and gooey brownies!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup milk chocolate squares
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter 
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder 
  • 2 medium eggs 
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 
  • 1/2 tsp salt 
  • 1 cup all purpose flour

  • 1 handmixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 200C 
  2. Place chocolate and butter in a medium microwavable bowl and heat for 30 seconds (in 10 second increments) and stir together until the chocolate is completely melted
  3. Stir in the cocoa powder and then set this to the side until cool
  4. In a separate, large bowl, add the eggs and sugar and stir using a hand mixer until the colour gets lighter and then add the vanilla extract and salt and mix all until well combined
  5. Stir in the chocolate mixture from earlier and sift the flour in and mix all until well combined
  6. Finally, transfer the batter into a lined baking pan and bake first for 25-35 minutes or until the centre is fully baked
  7. Enjoy 🍫
  8. Optional: decorate with any icing of your choice
