Mixed Berry Croissant Bake

Ingredients
  

  • 4 medium croissants
  • 150 ml single cream
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinammon
  • 2 tsp orange zest
  • handful of mixed berries (raspberries and blackberries)

Equipment

  • 1 Baking Tray

Method
 

  1. Start off by slicing the croissants into thin slices and layer them in a baking a tray 
  2. Then, in a separate bowl, mix all the other ingredients together
  3. Once this is done, pour your mixture over the croissants and put in the oven for about 15 minutes on 200C
  4. Whilst croissants are in the oven, wash and dry your berries 
  5. After 15 minutes or when croissant bake is almost done, place the berries on top and put it back in the oven until golden brown 
  6. Once out of the oven, dust with cinnamon and powdered sugar as desired and serve warm
  7. Enjoy!

Notes

 
  • This can also be served with maple syrup or ice cream if having it as a dessert 
  • You can use any type of berries for this recipe not just raspberries and blackberries 
  • When putting dish back in the oven with fruits, you can bake this for a further 10 minutes or until golden brown
