A Mixed Berry Croissant Bake that is as easy to make as it is delicious to devour. There is something undeniably comforting about the smell of freshly baked pastries and the combination of sweet, aromatic, juicy berries that make it a great breakfast, snack and dessert option.
Croissants are a staple breakfast item in many parts of the world, particularly in France where they are often enjoyed with butter, jam, or chocolate spread alongside a hot drink.
While croissants are delicious on their own, they are also incredibly versatile and can be used in a variety of breakfast dishes. From croissant breakfast sandwiches filled with eggs and cheese, to croissant French toasts and croissant bakes, there are endless ways to enjoy croissants for breakfast.
While traditional croissant bakes might include ingredients like chocolate or almonds, the addition of berries introduces a fruity twist that perfectly complements the richness of the croissants. Whether you opt for strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries or a selection of all four, the result is a harmonious combination of great textures and tastes.
The flaky croissants soak up the egg mixture, becoming soft and custardy, while the berries add bursts of juicy freshness. This combination of textures turns each bite into a truly satisfying eating experience.
You can also assemble the bake the night before if you want to as long as you cover it tightly before refrigerating it overnight.
In the morning, simply put it in the oven and bake until golden brown. This prep also makes berry croissant bakes perfect for entertaining or for enjoying a breakfast with your family and friends.
