Strawberry and Banana Smoothie Bowl

I find that by having breakfast, I am able to be more productive (especially in the mornings) and that is why I give breakfasts a lot of importance. However, I never want to spend too much time on prep so smoothie bowls are a good alternative for me because they are low maintenance and also very effective.

Smoothies are good if you are on the go, however, if you want to relax and take your time eating your breakfast, I find smoothie bowls a great alternative because you can get really creative with them.

Personally, berries are my favourite and when I combine bananas with strawberries, I get a nice smooth and creamy texture. This does not change when it comes to smoothie bowls. To maintain the consistency so that it is not too runny, the best thing to use frozen fruits. You can either buy them frozen or do it yourself at home (which is what I did).

Good to know: it is important to make sure that you use a high performing blender because otherwise, it might take a bit of time to blend the frozen fruit. One trick you can use is add a tiny bit of milk to help the fruit blend a bit more but careful with the amount as you do not want the smoothie bowl to be runny like a normal smoothie.
