Lisbon in the Spring
Visiting Lisbon in the spring is a wonderful experience. It is easier to enjoy the city’s attractions whilst the weather is warm and crowds have not reached the summer peak which contributes to a more enjoyable and relaxing experience. So, if you are planning a trip to Portugal, I recommend adding Lisbon to your itinerary.
Getting to the Restaurant
During my trip to Lisbon this Spring, I visited Leonetta which is a restaurant located in the Bairro Alto neighbourhood known for its colourful houses and nightlife. Bairro Alto is also quite popular for both locals and tourists where everyone can take a trip to and enjoy the atmosphere.
If you also want to visit Leonetta, be prepared to walk up a few steps in the neighbourhood as the restaurant is located towards the top of it but once you get there, the experience will be worth it.
The Restaurant Experience
Leonetta is an Italian restaurant known for its delicious food and pleasant atmosphere.
I was lucky to be seated opposite the open kitchen and this allowed me to watch the chefs prepare each dish—a truly engaging experience.
The interior of the restaurant struck a perfect balance between modern design and vintage touches which provided a unique and stylish dining environment.The restaurant tables were surrounded by food photography, alongside beautiful paintings and flowers, creating a visually appealing atmosphere.
The Food
Leonetta’s menu offers a range of delicious dishes and my highlights were the Parmigiano Croquettes, Pomodoro Sauce & Basil starter and the Tiramisu, Biscuit, Mascarpone Cream, Caramelised Hazelnuts & Salted Caramel dessert.
The Parmigiano Croquettes portion was generous and perfectly balanced the cheese, tangy pomodoro sauce, and fresh basil.
The Tiramisu was a classic combination of ladyfingers and mascarpone cream. This was elevated by the caramelised hazelnuts and a touch of salted caramel which was a pleasurable end to the meal.
If you are planning a trip to Portugal or are currently in Lisbon and are looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience, Leonetta is a must-try!
